Embroidery
Personalised embroidery is a popular method of adding a unique touch to garments. It involves stitching a design, logo, or text onto fabric using a needle and thread. Here is some information on personalised embroidery to garments:
1. Process: Personalised embroidery starts with creating a design or logo that you want to be embroidered onto the garment. This design is then digitised using specialised software to convert it into a format that can be read by an embroidery machine. The garment is hooped, and the machine stitches the design onto the fabric using various colored threads.
2. Types of garments: Personalised embroidery can be done on a wide range of garments, including t-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, jackets, hats, bags, and more. It can be applied to both woven and knit fabrics.
3. Customisation options: With personalised embroidery, you have the freedom to choose the design, size, and placement of the embroidery. You can select from a variety of fonts, thread colors, and stitch styles to match your preferences.
4. Benefits: Personalised embroidery adds a professional and sophisticated look to garments. It can be used for branding purposes, such as adding a company logo to uniforms or promotional items.
5. Durability: Embroidery is known for its durability. The threads used in embroidery are typically made of polyester or rayon, which are resistant to fading, washing, and general wear and tear. This ensures that the embroidery remains intact even after multiple washes.
6. Cost: The cost of personalised embroidery varies depending on factors such as the complexity of the design, the size of the embroidery, and the number of garments being embroidered. Generally, the more intricate the design and the larger the embroidery, the higher the cost.
Heatseal Transfers
also known as heat transfers or iron-on transfers, are a great method for applying designs or graphics onto garments. Your design in printed onto a carrier sheet and then applied to the garment using a Heat Press.
Heatseal transfers are suitable for the majority of garments (apart from fleece) we recommend this process for Hi-Vis garments.
